2011 Tryouts and Registration

Tryouts for the 2011 season are right around the corner in late October or early November. Before yuo can tryout you will need to register with USAV as always. Registration is open as of 9/1/2010. Go to this link www.deltavolleyball.net

Gabe Zorzoli has signed with Belhaven College and Dione Vann has signed with New Mexico Military Institute. Meagan Fickle of our 18 National Team has comitted to play college ball at Christian Brothers Univeristy. Congratulations Ladies!

Five Players will participate in High Performance Camps
After trying out from our 15 Elite team Sam Latza and Lexie Gaddy were selected to participate in the Girls Youth Training Camp and Marissa Wong will participate in the Girls Youth Development Camp. Also after tryout Alex Fuelling from our 13 Elite team and Chelsea James from our 14 Elite team will participate in the Girls Youth Developmental camp as well. Congratulations!

Phyllis Knose has been recognized by Delta Region
Each year the Delta Region recognizes deserving individuals in the region with a meritorious service award. This year one of our own Directors Phyllis Knose has been a recipient of that award.

Meagan Fickle Commits
Meagan Fickle of our 18 National Team has comitted to play college ball at Christian Brothers Univeristy. Congratulations Meagan!

Alison Welch named Third Team Academic All American
Alison Welch, 5-10 OH, Olive Branch (MS) – Welch carried an undermanned team to the semifinals of the Class III state tournament in 2009, amassing 621 kills and 271 digs. The Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year maintains a 4.21 GPA in the classroom and has volunteered on behalf of Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Club Cleanup Schedule for 2010

Everyone needs to take a turn with cleanup to keep the practice area in god shape. This consists of the following: 1)General pickup of trash and "stuff" laying around 2)Dust Mop Courts 3)Pump up balls that need air. This needs to happen after the last practice on Sunday, before the week starts again. Suggest 4-5 PM on Sunday or after season starts check when last practice of the weekend will be and any time after that.
